Jasmine Rae Friedrich makes excellent things. Some could be measured in pixels, some in picas and, if we're being honest, some in calories.
She's a multi-talented designer with about a million aspirations, but right now she's interning with Greenleaf Book Group in Austin and looking real hard at San Francisco for future opportunities in design. (The baking and jam-making can probably wait.)
Intrigued? She'd love to get to know you. Shoot her an email and make her day.

Scotch'n'Soda Theatre is the student theatre troupe on the Carnegie Mellon University campus which produces five to eight shows during each academic year, ranging from cabarets to sketch comedies to intimate dramas to full scale musicals. As a highly involved designer for Scotch'n'Soda, I produced visual identities to advertise for over a dozen of these shows — catering to each director's vision — with the 11x17 poster as the star of the suite. Some pieces were created with the help of an assistant.Print Design, Advertising, Theater2011 -

A small commissioned project for the Kappa Delta Rho at the Rochester Institute of Technology. A major visual overhaul was intended to fix previous clutter and discord in design, while keeping true to the KDR identity. During the project, the need for a classic and sophisticated feel, room for large photos and a very simple, modular content system were emphasized by the client. Throughout my life I've been affected by bouts of loss, grief and — although not on my part — alcoholism. By juxtaposing phases of each, the attempt is to view both as a process which is although tragic, first and foremost, conquerable.Design, Digital Photography2011 -

I believe every artist should at least dabble in photography, practicing to find the aesthetic value in the world around them before they try to create it themselves.
My work so far has largely been as a historian and photojournalist for student organizations on the Carnegie Mellon campus, including the yearbook. Favoring theatre and concerts, it's been a study of searching for perfect moments and learning to work with any kind of conditions the lighting designer happens to give me.Digital Photography, Photojournalism2012
